FPL Tech Employee Pawns More Than $16,000 Worth Of Computers To Feed Drug Habit

A tech support employee with Florida Power & Light is accused of stealing more than $16,000 worth of company computers in order to feed his drug habit.

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, John Anise surrendered to police on Tuesday, told police he had a drug problem and that he had gone to detox. Police arrested Anise when investigators found 20 pawn shop transactions under his name dating back to June.

Anise was a tech support employee for the FPL customer service division, but instead of fixing the computers, police say he pawned off $16,400 worth of computers. Anise was booked into Palm Beach County Jail and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
